Tour Highlights - Bhutan 7nights/8 days

Day 1 – Paro- Thimpu – After arriving & visa formalities and collection of baggage, you will be welcomed by our tour representative who will be your tour guide for the entire trip in Bhutan. Check in to the hotel, after lunch proceed for sightseeing to  Nation Memorial Chorten and Tashicho dzhong. Overnight at hotel in Thimpu

Day 2 – Thimpu – After breakfast proceed for a local sightseeing which will include Changangkha Lhakhang temple which is an early medieval  Buddhist temple in the capital city built in the 12 century AD, after that we will proceed to  Motithang takin preserve also known as Thimpu zoo post lunch you will be visiting Sangaygang from where you can enjoy the bird’s eye view of THimpu valley. Overnight at hotel in Thimpu.

Day 3 – Thimpu – After breakfast proceed to Kuensel phodrang or the Buddha point is the world’s  largest sitting Buddha statue measuring 167 feet statue is made of bronze and is studded with many semi precious stones after that visit the weekend market located ina set of stall on both the sides of Wang Chu river , after lunch we will visit the botanical garden which is spread in 29 acres. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 – Thimpu – Punakha – After breakfast drive towards Punakha via Dochula Pass which is one the best known mountain pass in Bhutan located at an altitude of 3150 meter above the sea level on a clear day one can see Himalayan range. Later we will head to Punkha and just before reaching Punkha en route visit Chimmi Lhakhang a Buddhist Monastery Overnight stay in a hotel in punakha.

Day 5 – Punakha – Paro – After breakfast proceed to Paro en route visit Punakha Dzong. The Punakha Dzhong is the second largest and the second oldest Dzhong in Bhutan. The Dzhong is home to some of the most sacred relics of the Drukpa Kagyu School of Buddhism. Later we head to paro there we will visit Rimpung Dzhong which is probably Bhutan's best known and most iconic Dzhong. This is probably the first building you will notice when you land at Paro International Airport and will probably be your first memory of Bhutan.

Day 06 - Paro – After breakfast we will take you to a morning hike up to Taktsang Monastery also known as Tigers Nest . Later after the hike we will visit Kyichu Lhakhang  Temple. The Jowo Temple of Kyichu is one of the oldest temples in Bhutan. The temple was built by the Tibetan King Songsten Gampo in the 7th Century AD. The Kyichu Lhakhang was one of the 108 temples constructed by him to subdue a demon that was terrorizing the people of the Himalayas. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.

Day 7 – Paro – After breakfast take a day excursion to Haa valley The pristine and picturesque Haa valley is located about 3 hours west of Paro. The Drive from Paro to Haa valley take you up to the Chele-La pass which is located at a height of about 3800 meters. Make sure you ask you drive to stop the car here so you can enjoy a beautiful view of Bhutan‟s 2 highest and best known peaks the Jichu Drake and Mount Jumolhari, some times of a clear day you might be able to catch a glimpse of Mount Kunchenchunga the 3rd highest mountain in the world from this view point. From there we will descend down into the Haa Valley down to the town of Ha.

In the evening you will be taken to visit local market of Paro to shop and to take home gifts, Bhutan offers a variety of goods that revolve mainly round textiles. You may shop for items like hand-woven textiles that is either in raw silk or silk, carved masks of various animals, woven baskets of cane and bamboo, wooden bowls known as Dapas, handmade paper products or finely crafted gods of silver. You can also shop for thangkha paintings and Bhutan‟s exquisite postage stamp. One can come across these items in the many handicraft shops in and around and also in major towns. Please remember that buying and selling of antiques is strictly forbidden in Bhutan. Overnight stay in a hotel in Paro.

Day 8 – Paro – After breakfast proceed to airport to catch an onward flight to your destination.
